Busted

Wow. Reading this entry at Jollyblogger really got me thinking. Righteous indignation is one thing. Self-righteous snobbery is another. I think I tend toward the latter and I need to work on that (no need to comment, John).

Advice to Christian Bloggers from G. K. Chesterton

This month's Gilbert Magazine (a magazine devoted to G. K. Chesterton) has a good little short piece called "Bad Christian Journalism and the G. K. Chesterton Remedy," by J. Fraser Field. Field starts with an example of what he considers "Bad Christian Journalism."

Scary and Scummy

I got an email from a site called “Share Your Experiences” saying, “Someone
who knows you is attempting to share experiences opinions and experiences about
you via our website.” At first I was extremely freaked out. I checked the site
and found multiple requests and offers of information about me, professional and
social, for a couple of my email addresses. The idea of people exchanging information
about me anonymously was rather disturbing, mostly because anonymity breeds untruths.

Once I calmed down and was able to reason clearly again, I searched for info about
the site. It seems others have had dealings with these nuts and they seem to just
be scam artists. *whew*

I offer these links as a public service.

Hollywood Hilarity

Hollywood Mystery Man ‘Rance’ Has Internet Abuzz
By Dan Whitcomb

“LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – He skewers Hollywood and the cult of celebrity on an anonymous Web log that has spawned a cult following. He claims to be an A-list actor, writing under a pseudonym, but admits he may not be believed.”

I love good satire. 🙂

This seems to be another case of me being late to the party. Then again, since I hardly give a rat’s…um…whisker about the rest of the blogosphere, it’s hardly shocking. Don’t get me wrong, I like being read and being linked, but real life time takes precedence over blog time. Anyone who does the reverse needs to move out of their parents’ basement.
