Bathroom Humor

There isn’t enough good bathroom graffiti these days. Either people don’t feel expressive
on the can anymore or it’s painted over too quickly to get wide readership. When
a magazine or a newspaper in the stall may as well be War and Peace, it’s
nice to have something pithy to read.

The fella over at The
Crystal Drum Page
seems to agree with me.

The Writing on the Wall

I was sitting in the men’s room at a Beds Baths & Beyond in downtown Manhattan this past weekend, where I found a heartening message on the wall to my right: “Everybody at 126 East 17th Street stinks.” Below that, slightly larger but clearly written by the same hand with the same red Sharpie, “Mitch Vogel forgets NOTHING.” Written on the toilet paper dispenser, possibly although not definitely by Mr. Vogel, were the words, “KILL KILL KILL KILL.”

Go, Robot, Go!

Monkey versus Robot!

Wow. Simply astonishing. You have to see this to believe it. It’s a music video called Monkey versus Robot. Words don’t do it justice. Neither does it do words justice. What happened to conjugation? Maybe I’m being picky…

Update: The video can now be found here.

"NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise…surprise and fear…fear and surprise…. Our two weapons are fear and surprise…and ruthless efficiency…. Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency…and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope…. Our *four*…no… *Amongst* our weapons…. Amongst our weaponry…are such elements as fear, surprise…. I’ll come in again." – Monty Python

The Inquisition (what a show)
The Inquisition (here we go)
We know you’re wishin’ that we’d go away.
But the Inquisition’s here and it’s here to-
"Hey Toquemada, walk this way."
"I just got back from the Auto-de-fe."
"Auto-de-fe? What’s an Auto-de-fe?"
"It’s what you oughtn’t to do but you do anyway."

On a more serious note:

This study should be interesting. Hopefully it’s balanced and fair (no Fox News pun intended).

Vatican to release study on Inquisition

The Vatican will soon publish a study on the Inquisition, containing the proceedings of an international conference held in Rome in 1998.
