Random Endorsement
"Funky Dung is one of those rarities of the Evangelical Ghetto, a Roman Catholic. I have found that his blog is a useful antidote to the lingering bigotry amongst some Evangelicals (as opposed to constructive debate) against the RCC, and his site is wonderful at showing some of the things that we have in common. Any Christian can learn from his examinations of piety and faith, not just fellow Catholics. His posts about uniquely Catholic topics (as opposed to general Christian ones) are excellent at dispelling some of the misconceptions that abound, and even if I can't fully subscribe to them all, I find them well worth reading." -

The word bipartisan usually means some larger-than-usual deception is being carried out.

Evil or Stupid?
Apparently, Lew Rockwell doesn't like unions any more than I do. However, Mr. Rockwell's feelings seem to be much stronger than mine, prompting him to call them evil. IMHO, he would do well to remember Napoleon's wise maxim, "Never attribute to malice what could be sufficiently explained by ineptitude." While some unions have certainly arrogated […]

Praying for the Conversion of Jews
Since the release of Summorum Pontificum, various talking heads have been apoplectic because the Tridentine mass includes a Good Friday prayer for the conversion of the Jews. Much ado is being made of nothing, though.
Did Bishop Trautman Even Read the What the Pope Wrote?!
If you thought the diocese of Pittsburgh's memo about Summorum Pontificum was bad, you ain't seen nuthin' yet. Check out this nonsense from Erie:
The recent apostolic letter of Pope Benedict XVI on widening the use of the
liturgical books of 1962 is prompted by his desire to reach out to those Catholics in schism because of […]

States Causing Chaos in Presidential Nomination Process
The fiercest battle surrounding the 2008 presidential election may not be taking place among the many candidates campaigning for the White House, but rather among the states vying to be the first in the nation to hold a presidential primary.
Florida's decision 10 days ago to break ranks with a […]
