Maybe dieting can take off pounds, but many may find a little extra physical activity better than a tight eating discipline. Exercise also helps build muscle mass (particularly handy when one ages), improve insulin sensitivity, relieves stress, etc. Fine, maybe those advantages are overlooked with the usual weightloss selling point, but I don’t think this finding would threaten exercise in any meaningful way.
