Once again, my overactive mouth (or in this case, keyboard) has gotten me in trouble. A rather unpleasant affair occurred at Evangelical Underground. When time permits, I will be publishing an apology to all involved. I will also be apologizing for snide comments I made in my Marty Minto post. My sincere hope is that valuable lessons have been learned by the participants and that those lessons can be passed on to our readers.

AR,
You probably don't remember me, but I've posted here a couple of times in the past. I've read the EV Underground link and simply want to encourage you to keep close to Him. If someone lies about you, the pharisees lied about Our Lord. If they assasinate your character, they assasinated Him quite literally and assasinated His character. If they hurt you, He has been hurt even deeper. You are in good company, my friend. Just stay close to Him. Turn the other cheek. I am somewhat ashamed that some fellow protestants would rather sow dissention and disunity than uplift and encourage. Be strong in Him.

Comments would have certainly been more considered were more time give to organizing ones thoughts and evaluating one intentions. Blogs are so quick and dirty (one of the things that makes them so much fun), that I can readily see how an aggravated spleen can be vented wihtout much thought as to the consequences.

I'm not taking sides at all on who ought to apologize to whom, but your Thursday post about an upcoming apology sounds like a very good idea. Both of you Erics, I really think, want to glorify God. Peace. Milton

Posted 24 Apr 2005 at 12:06 am ¶I feel bad that I haven't written and posted an apology yet. I want to take the time to thoroughly think it through as I write it. It's one thing to churn out a few quick comments (like I've done), but it's another thing entirely to write a thoughtful, honest, and (for lack of a better word) effective apology post.
Thanks for the support, Milton. God bless.
