Draft Card Bar-B-Que Anyone?

After reading this article I was in shock. Angry doesn't begin to describe how I feel. People that opposed this war from the beginning, such as myself, should be exempt from a draft, should there be one. All the war-mongers who wanted this should "bear some responsibility and pay some price". Don't write a check your ass can't cash.

While I'm on my soapbox, I'm going to make an outrageous suggestion. If Mr. Hagel really wants to "spread the burden of military service in Iraq more equitably among various social strata", women should be eligible for the draft. Just think of how the Republicans could endear themselves to the womyn's lib movement if they added equal responsibility to equal rights and opportunities.
