Whether we like it or not, there's a certain amount of marketing involved in promoting parties, platforms, and candidates. It's occurred to me that the Libertarian Party needs a mascot. The Democrats have a donkey. Republicans have an elephant. The Libertarians don't have a mascot. I propose a snake. Specifically, it's the eastern diamondback rattlesnake found in the Gadsden flag.
Thoughts?

Libertarians are Satans? I think the snake is a bad idea.
Maybe a Red Brick House will work (a three little pigs ref).
I personally like the elephant because it is one of the smartest animals, while the donkey is very dumb.

Also, have you forgotten that a snake prefigured Christ when Moses held a bronze snake aloft to cure the people of poisonous snake bites? As man brought sin to the world, a man took it away.
Anyhow, it's best to not get too tied up in allegorical symbolism. The point is to find a mascot that puts the LP on a level playing field in the political market.
