A Coalition of Murder-Happy, Central Bankmongering Police Statists

I'm with Anthony Gregory on whether should shift into a run.

LewRockwell.com Blog: Re: Mike Holmes on Ron Paul's Political Future

"The LP might have lots of problems, but the GOP is a coalition of murder-happy, central bankmongering police statists and we probably have more hope turning the Democrats back to its Jeffersonian, Clevelandian heritage than we do in returning the other party to a set of principles that it has never upheld, except rhetorically so as to blindside naive voters, give libertarian cover to their fascism and dirty the good name of free markets and individual liberty."

The appeal to moral purity is tempting, but that would only give politicians and the media more excuse to treat Paul as fringe nutjob. Some of the doctor's finest moments were when he told the other GOP candidates that he is the only Republican in the room, as measured by non-interventionalism and small government. Join the Libertarian Party and you ditch that high ground. Paul's position has a powerful appeal to the grassroots of the GOP, and many outside of it, but it will take time for us to get that message out and get through all the bad assumptions and misinformation.

If registering as a Democrat or Libertarian or Green would put this country on a route towards the constitution and a less belligerent foreign policy, that's what I would do. But for Paul and his position now, the GOP is the best way to go.

Okay, it's been a while since I checked your blog, bro. How come I'm lookin' at the same stuff that was here before? Have you and your cronies given up the fight? Or, are you hoping there's some wacky chance that Paul's rivals will implode somehow and you are sitting in a quiet wait status?
