Environmental Terrorist

I’ll just let the article speak for itself.

Bush
Diverting Enviro Funds Into Fossil Fuels

“President Bush yesterday tried to deflect questions about his environmental
record by claiming that he supports efforts to reduce America’s fossil fuel usage1.
He said he had ‘introduced ideas like a hydrogen-powered automobile, put money
behind it and research behind it’; so that so that we will be ‘less dependent
on foreign sources of energy’ and we will ‘improve the environment.’
But Bush’s hydrogen-automobile proposal is purposely engineered to be fossil fuel
dependent, and it is paid for by taking money out of programs that are actually
reducing fossil fuel use.”

Fidel Communications Commission

If you ask me, the $4000 were well spent. Next up, George W. Bush. 😉

“MIAMI (Reuters) – Two Miami radio hosts who duped Cuban President Fidel Castro with a prank call are soliciting pennies from their fans to pay
a $4,000 fine proposed by U.S. regulators because of the on-air stunt.”

Flag Burning Amendment….Again *sigh*

Stop
Congress from Amending the Constitution to Limit Free Speech

Urge your Members of Congress to Oppose the Flag Desecration Amendment!

“For more than a decade, numerous members of Congress have tried to amend —
with seemingly endless resources — the U.S. Constitution to give the government
the power to prohibit the physical desecration of the American flag. Civil libertarians
have fought back hard with coalitions of veterans, religious leaders and other Americans
who believe that such a constitutional amendment would undermine the very principles
for which the American flag stands.”

Still Haunting

Unfortunately, Arlen Specter, a man with a consistently anti-life voting record,
won the Republican primary yesterday. I, for my part, registered Republican (having
been a Democrat since I was 18) specifically for the purpose of voting out Specter.

The good news is that Toomy upset Specter in Allegheny County.

“Sen. Arlen Specter, a centrist Republican who frequently bucks his party’s
orthodoxy on social and fiscal issues, held off a fierce intraparty challenge from
the right yesterday when Pennsylvania GOP voters nominated him for a fifth Senate
term.”

“PHILADELPHIA , Pennsylvania (CNN) — Veteran GOP Sen. Arlen Specter narrowly
won a shot at a fifth term, after a close primary battle with Rep. Pat Toomey, who
argued to Pennsylvanians that Specter simply wasn’t conservative enough.”
