Gucci Gets Go-Ahead for Pubic Hair Ad

“LONDON (Reuters) – A Gucci advertisement featuring a woman with her pubic hair cropped in the shape of a letter ‘G’ got the go-ahead from Britain’s tough advertising watchdog on Wednesday.”

This article seems to imply that Brits are prudes and the French are more sophisticated and mature. I think neither have a proper sense of sexuality, but at least the Brits still have a sense of modesty.

From Weird to Weirder

Remember Real Ultimate Power? Well, by following a few links, I found a site that makes it seem normal. The author of RUP wrote a reply to the hate mail sent to the site (which, by the way, is way more juvenile than the obviously joke-driven site itself). It resides in a college student’s account, which I believe belongs to RUP’s creator. I went to the index for that account and found some very odd cartoons. Check it out:

Religious Porn?

This is tasteless and offensive.

Naked Madonnas outrage Rome

APRIL features a bare-breasted Virgin Mary in high heels, with arms outstretched to reveal bleeding palms like the wounds of Christ on the cross. September’s Virgin Mary is suckling a child, while March depicts a raven-haired nude washing a woman’s toes in a pose evocative of Mary Magdalene, the prostitute who anointed Jesus’s feet.

For the glamour photographer who took them, they are just an innovative new take on Italy’s Christmas obsession for calendars featuring buxom nudes. But for a vocal minority in the country the 12 scenes inspired by the life of Christ are blasphemous monstrosities.

Uh-oh, did George Lucas clone a library for Attack of the Clones?

Jedi Archives Clones Long Room, Trinity Attacks

“The above image is a shot of the Long Room Library, Trinity College of Dublin. Or is it? Actually it’s not, it’s an image of the Jedi Archives in the most recent episode of the Star Wars series, Episode II: Attack of the Clones.”
