Regardless of one's take on the presidential election, there are other important posts up for election this November, including the race for senator, where pro-lifers are running. In the case of the Senate, Jim Clymer is running for Spectre's seat, and I will gladly vote for him over one of the biggest advocates for embryonic research anywhere in the federal government.

-that’s an interesting assumption, and in this particular case, quite a leap of logic.
In the race between Specter and Hoeffel, it appears that Hoeffel is the more conservative one. Which means that among the two mainstream candidates, there really isn’t a conservaive. (I actually know a few Republicans who are drawn to Hoeffel for that very reason.) Under that logic, if I were to tell them about Clymer (which I probably will), they would most likely leave Hoeffel and vote for him.
Strange the way that could play out.
If by that you mean that my vote for Clymer is a lost vote for Specter, guess again. Specter never had my vote. Hoeffel couldn’t dream of getting it. My vote for Clymer is truly independent.
