What is Freenet?

without fear of censorship. To achieve this freedom, the network is entirely decentralized
and publishers and consumers of information are anonymous. Without anonymity there
can never be true freedom of speech, and without decentralization the network will
be vulnerable to attack.

to Release WWII POW Information

VATICAN CITY – The Vatican (news – web sites) is releasing more that 2 million files
on prisoners of war and other missing persons from its secret archives, part of
efforts to emphasize the humanitarian aspects of the World War II papacy of Pope
Pius XII, officials announced Tuesday.

Man, I’ve been jonesing for a TiVo, but the cost is prohibitive. Maybe I’ll go this
route when I have some time. I already have a decent spare computer to use for the
task.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – Tired of TiVo (news – web sites)’s monthly fees and eager
for even more control over their television programs, computer enthusiasts are building
TV recording devices out of personal computers and new software packages.

I just found out today that I share my birthday with G.K. Chesterton. Groovy 🙂
