Difference between the sexes need not always be burdensome.

Married Singles unhappily ever after
By Francine & Byron Pirola

"We all start out in marriage with a dream; a dream of a life-long, love affair. But after a year or two, disillusionment sets in and the unreserved trust and intimacy we enjoyed becomes tentative and fragile. We join the army of other 'married singles' living our parallel lives and wishing that the other sex could be more like us!"

Cruel and Unusual

This is an angle against late term abortion that I hadn’t heard of. I wonder how many people
assume abortion is always painless for the child.

FRC
Endorses ‘Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act’

“WASHINGTON, May 20 /PRNewswire/ — Family Research Council (FRC) President Tony
Perkins released the following statement in support of Sen. Sam Brownback’s (R-KS)
‘Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act’ legislation:”

“We cannot deny the medical evidence now before us. From testimony taken during
the recent partial-birth abortion hearings and advancements in the field of in utero
technology, science is telling us unborn children as young as 20 weeks old can feel
pain. The evidence we have is clear, and we should not keep that evidence from women.”

Shake a Leg

I suffer from mild RLS. My mom has it pretty bad. My grandmother had it really bad.
It’s good to know that it’s finally getting the research attention and press coverage
it deserves. Before it was a common diagnosis, doctors told my mom it was all in
her head – in a psychological rather than neurological sense.

Idiot Detector

This page says it’s an ESP experiment. Actually, it’s a simple magic “trick” based on misdirection and deception. I wouldn’t blog a silly thing like this, except that I’m flabbergasted by the comments people posted after taking the “test”. The gullibility and utter stupidity of the posters is astounding. Come to think of it, maybe this is social experiment to test the IQ of the average web surfer. 😉

“Solution: He removes ALL the cards you initially see and replaces 5/6 of them with similar cards (e.g. King of Hearts for King of Diamonds). He can’t fail.”

Fizz of Death

Maybe this will get me to finally lower my soda intake, especially since I already
have GERD. If bottled water weren’t so dang expensive, I might drink more of that
instead.
