Welcome to the Desert of the Real

Ye olde has undergone a bit of a facelift. Fahim Farook's software served me well for close to four years. Alas poor Fahim hasn't had time to keep the tool current with the times. WordPress has some pretty groovy plugins and whatnot, so there ought to be some fun experiments down the pike.

As always, thanks for reading. :)

It looks nice, if perhaps a bit familiar! [sneaky grin]

However it looks, it's the content that counts.

    Good luck categorizing 1996 posts.

I won't be categorizing any time soon. You don't want to know how much time I spent importing posts from my old blog. I made sure that all of the post IDs stayed the same - a difficult task to begin with. It was even harder, though, because there's a bug in WordPress 2.0's RSS importer that stalls at around 4 posts or so. I imported ~2100 posts in increments of 4, manually resetting the autoincrement counter as needed.

I didn't want to dupe your theme, Rob, but there just aren't many good three-column themes. Hopefully the WP 2.0 theme contest will produce some useable stuff.

It does load a lot faster, but on the theme front, I'm partial to having both sidebars on the same side (in case you couldn't tell).

And wow — you imported 2100 hundred posts! That puts me to shame for not importing more of my old posts last year when I migrated from Fahim's software…

    It looks good, btw.

Yep, they're there. 'Nuther minor nit: The random quote of the moment occasionally (at random) when it is rather long overfills the top box, yeilding rather unsightly effects. Not sure if there's a way to automatically size the box for larger random quotes.
