Prior to primary and caucus season, the battle cry of all but the staunchest supporters of Bush was "Anybody But Bush in '04". Then people saw what the Democratic party had to offer and suddenly it was "Does it have to be one of them?" Many ex-Democrat non-Republicans began to brace themselves for a clothespin vote or contemplate third party candidates.
The owner of JohnKerryIsADoucheBagButI'mVotingForHimAnyway.com is trying to lure the disenfranchised and disaffected and even conservatives to the Kerry camp. Not all of the site's articles are up yet, but they ought to be interesting. NOTA BENE: The language on the site is rather coarse.
In a related note, here's another reason why pro-lifers won't touch Kerry with a ten meter cattle prod.
For the hat trick, here's an article about the man whose "lack of vibrancy…[and] utter dearth of sex appeal made Al Gore look like Charo". Then again, some say a d-bag is better than Bush.

Kerry was one of the most moderate candidates on the democratic ballet. You can't claim that if Dean had held his lead you would still be clinging to the anyone but bush line.

The most liberal U.S. Senators pale in comparison to a quarter of the House. I'm not in love with Kerry, but there are a few things he could probably do to sway me — I just haven't thouhgt of what those few things are yet…

Posted 26 Aug 2004 at 7:41 am ¶The most liberal Senator title was also created by very tenuous logic. They only looked at a very small number of votes. If you look at his whole career, he comes out as a left of center, but not an extreme candidate.
The only person running whose record is in the extreme is Cheney's whose senate voting record was in the 95th percentile for most rightwing voting pattern. Although I'm willing to accept that that may also be a bogus statistic.
