The most liberal U.S. Senators pale in comparison to a quarter of the House. They only looked at a very small number of votes. If you look at his whole career, he comes out as a left of center, but not an extreme candidate. <br /><br />The only person running whose record is in the extreme is Cheney's whose senate voting record was in the 95th percentile for most rightwing voting pattern. Although I'm willing to accept that that may also be a bogus statistic.
